There is something oddly satisfying about scrolling through someone else’s shopping cart. You start to wonder what they’re really spending their money on — and more importantly, whether any of it will actually last past September.
Here is what was in mine for Prime Day. Well, what had been in it, because I already hit purchase before you could ask. Some are deals I couldn’t pass up, some are things that arrived recently and demanded a mention, and a few are just random household bits I was going to buy anyway.

Fashion
1. Printed Pants. I have a weakness for printed pants in summer, and these are genuinely lightweight — breezy enough that they don’t cling when it’s humid. They come in what feels like a hundred colorways. I’m wearing size S.
2. Textured Sweater Tank. This top is unfairly good at looking put together while feeling like something you’d wear around the house with no plans. It stretches without losing shape, and the armholes are cut high enough that your bra doesn’t peek out — which is rare enough to celebrate. I pair mine with dress pants for work or a skirt when I need to dress it up. Size S.
3. Short Sweater Shell. A sleeveless sweater that reads polished up close, unlike a basic t-shirt tank. It runs short, which is perfect if you’re petite or have a cropped torso like me. Wear it untucked or tucked into high-waisted bottoms. Size S again — it’s clearly my uniform.
4. Crop Graphic Tee. I’ve been hunting for tops that work untucked with wide-leg jeans, and this one finally made the cut. The rolled sleeves add a nice detail. It’s incredibly soft. I sized up to M and got it in three colors: black floral, solid black, and white.
5. Cooling Slip Anti-Chafing Shorts. Non-negotiable for summer dresses and skirts. These prevent chafing without adding bulk.
6. Athletic Shorts (two pairs). I’m on the lookout for a 5-inch inseam, so these two options are in my cart to try. Both were on sale.
Household & On-the-Go
7. Lunch Bag Cooler with Drink Holder. Between kids’ sports practices and everything else, I’m out of the house constantly. This bag has an external pocket for drinks so the inside doesn’t turn into a Tetris game. It’s 43% off — only $11 right now.
8. Portable Charger (large version). I already own the small one, but this bigger model charges phones, tablets, my laptop, even Apple Watches. Perfect for when the kids’ devices all die at once in the car.
9. Owala Silicone Lid Replacements. Our entire family uses Owala bottles, and the silicone stoppers on the lids inevitably get moldy. We’re buying spares so we can rotate them out to dry properly.
10. No-Leak Snack Containers. These are shaped in a single row rather than a wide box, which makes them much easier to fit into bags. The compartments don’t leak between sections — I was genuinely surprised at how well they seal. They’re slightly larger than our Bentgo boxes too.
11. Portable Misting Fan. My oldest does summer volleyball camps in a gym with no air conditioning, and it gets brutal. This fan has enclosed blades for safety, fits in your pocket, and holds more water than most others I looked at.
Wellness
12. More Than Energy (MTE) Focus Drink Powder. We needed a refill, and it’s 20% off right now. It’s caffeine-free with clean ingredients — my husband and I have been using it as a coffee and Starbucks Refreshers alternative for the past couple of months. The sugar content is way lower than what I was drinking before, which matters since I’ve been cutting back on added sugars.
On its own it tastes mildly herbal, but mixed with electrolyte powder (Pink Lemonade flavor) it turns into a really nice tropical drink. I only use half a pack per day, so start there if you’re trying it for the first time.
One unexpected side effect: my husband Benson tracks his sleep on an app, and his deep sleep jumped noticeably the same week he switched to MTE instead of coffee. 14. Robot Vacuum. We’ve been waiting for an upgrade, and this newer model is 43% off. The mopping feature alone has made a difference — it doesn’t replace deep cleaning, but it keeps the floors at a much better baseline day to day. After my husband runs it in the evening, you can literally tell the moment your feet touch the floor downstairs.
Allison’s Picks
1. Short Sleeve Cotton Dress. She’s eyeing this one for a while. Allison usually wears petite sizes and prefers shorter dresses in summer. The eyelet detail works dressed up or down, so she has both the short-sleeve and sleeveless versions in her cart in different colors.
2. Casual Pleated Skirt. A printed pleated skirt that’s a bit more relaxed than the work-favorite style — breezy enough for summer days at home.
3. Double Layer Workout Tanks. Her daily go-to for Pilates. The high neck stays in place during inversions, and the double layer means no sports bra needed. She grabs a new color whenever there’s a sale.
4. Eye Masks. She uses these by the pool or beach for a quick refresh. They also help keep her face from overheating when it’s hot outside.
5. Frownies. These have been sitting in her cart forever. She carries tension in her face while sleeping and has read that they retrain facial muscles to relax overnight.
